Chat with Helen Wainwright and Lee Hobbs from The Dog Trainer School.

Helen and Lee run The Dog Trainer School and we had a chat about what a career in dog training is really like and how it is not just about training dogs!

During our chat we discussed how dog training is much more than standing in a field; usually in the rain! We talk about all things related to the dog training industry from, social media, imposter syndrome, burn out in trainers and how to survive in an ever growing industry.

Helen and Lee decided to use all their years of experience and knowledge to set up The Dog Trainer School to help dog trainers cope with the pressures of running a dog training business. They have created a membership program with lots of resources created to help dog trainers with the day to day running of the business; from resources for clients, training programs, mentorship, expert guest speakers, support and help for its members and much more.

It was great chatting with Helen and Lee and it was clear they have a real passion and empathy for not only the dogs but also the human at the end of the lead. Having dogs can be really tough at times but as trainer’s it is our job to try and make that a little easier for both the dog and human.

Hope you enjoy the podcast.
