Summer Canicross at Skellywags.

It has come to that time of year for our canicross taster kit to be put away until the Autumn. We will not be offering any introductions or tasters to canicross or canitalk now until September due to the warmer conditions that will be coming our way. Yes we are in the UK and although you may not think we are having a great start to summer, just have a think about what you are wearing now….the big coats have been put away along with the scarfs and hats etc….YOUR dog still has the same coat on!

In fact this year we have made the decision to stop all our regular canicross/cantalk classes throughout summer in the interest of our dogs, this will commence at the end of this month or sooner if conditions deem it. During the summer months we do not usually get out to run with our dogs that often due to high temperatures and high humidity so this year we have decided to give the dogs the whole summer off from canicross, instead of the odd run here and there if conditions are suitable.

The team will however be offering up our Get Fit for your Dog courses so that when we do return we are fitter and can share the load with our dogs more….it is a partnership after all. We will also be offering dogless 0-5K courses for those wishing to start canicross in the Autumn but do not run currently. There will also be WellBeing/Nature walks at various locations for our canitalkers(These will also be Dogless), being in the great outdoors is so good for our mental wellbeing.

We will be sharing more details as we go regarding the Get Fit for Your Dog courses, 0-5K and wellbeing walks.

We will be running a whole month of taster sessions for canicross and canitalk during September and details of these will be posted nearer the time.
