Canicross and Canitalk. What is it all about?

Our answer may not be what you expect; as we think the most important thing is time spent with your dog.

In our ever busy lives we sometimes forget to allocate time for ourselves, our dogs, exercise, well being, and generally just taking time to enjoy the great outdoors.

The thing we love week in, week out is seeing so many different dogs and humans attend our canicross sessions and to just leave the day to day stuff behind for a little while.

Spending time with like minded people being present, and in the moment with your dog, just for a while, can not only help boost our serotonin levels, but also that of our dogs.

Canicross and Canitalk is great physical exercise and mental exercise for our dogs as they learn to work with you listening out for your cues to tell them to turn, ease up, go faster and stop: stop is a very important cue!

So who can do canicross or canitalk?

From a dogs point of view there are a few requirements but the main one is, they need to be a minimum of 12 months old and in some larger breeds, from 18 months to 24 months old. From the humans point of view, there are no requirements really, you don’t even need to be a ‘runner’!!

We have several venues across kent and we be adding new venues throughout 2024.

If you would like more information or join one of our sessions then please do not hesitate to contact us, but be warned once you start it is addictive!
