Well… that wasn’t quite how any of us imagined the last couple of weeks would go!
The prolonged heat meant making the decision to cancel all of our classes and 1-1 sessions. Of course it was disappointing, but when it comes to the welfare of the dogs there really wasn’t any other choice. They’ll always come first at SkellyWags, and I know you’ll understand why that decision was made.
The good news is that we’re now looking ahead. Everything has simply moved back by a week or 2, which means a few extra spaces have become available across some of our upcoming sessions.
Over the coming weeks we’ll be welcoming new teams onto our Puppy Course, Life Skills Course, Hoopers beginners works shop, Introduction to Scentwork, Recall work shop, along with our 1-1 training sessions. Whether you’re looking for help with recall, lead walking, confidence building, puppy training or simply strengthening the relationship with your dog, we’d love to welcome you along.
Behind the scenes I’ve also been making the most of the unexpected downtime. As well as spending plenty of time with Bert (who certainly hasn’t complained about having me home a little more!), I’ve been writing new blogs, planning fresh content and putting together our Autumn programme.
Over the next week or so I’ll be updating the What’s On page with new courses, workshops and events, so there’s plenty to look forward to over the coming months.
